How to use the Graph

Example: 30 kt wind blowing for 12 hours over a 60 mile fetch.

Enter from the left at 30 kts, moving horizontally to right. The 60 mile fetch limit line is reached before the 12 hours limit line. Read off Significant Wave Height = 3.0 metres
